As is the case with many television series, the Lyricist sings one song too many ... (as he exits)

As in life, some of the things you think are going to be hard turn out easy, and vice versa. This last song is the second case. AMEN.

[SUNG -- NOT VERY WELL -- TO THE MELODY
OF EVITA'S "WALTZ FOR EVA AND CHE"]

[CHE/ME]

Pause now before we sing one last re-write --

first-go hear the words sung by THE CAST.

IDEAL versus REAL is the con-flict

Evita and Che dance around so sweet and fast.

Hold those thoughts clearly dearly ... as into your mind set

the last thing I want to make clear:

RHETORICAL VERSE in these songs kicked

the linear logic (the straight rant ) ... one notch up ... to notes most do-not hear.

[EVITA/BLOG READER (BR)]

Tell me -- before we all be-gin to cuss --

what's the purpose ... of this long song ... parade.

How can RHETORICAL VERSE, say,

"alter the time-honored way the game is played?"

Tell me before you start holding your high notes

"just what you expect me to do."

I just can't imagine ... this verse play

can have much effect on ... the White House or Hollywood -- much less on Main Street ... (Will Webber and Rice try to sue?)

[CHE/ME and EVA/BR]

There is BULLSHIT -- That is THE TRUTH --

There's no gentler ... way to say BULLSHIT than

to just say BULLSHIT.

[EVITA/BR]

(You say verse enhances much more than romances?)

Do they know?

It's
"better to win by admitting your sin"

than to lie ... when the world knows.

[CHE/ME]

Ask them before I start writing more sonnets --

before I start getting real mean:

"How can [they] be so short-sighted

To look never further than this week or next week

To have no impossible dream?
"

[EVITA/BR]

Do you think sonnets will scare Showtime's pants off

and cause them to cover their ass?

"But first tell me who’d be delighted

If [you] said [you'd] take on the world’s greatest problems

From war to pollution, no hope of solution

Even if [you] lived for one hundred years."

[CHE/ME and EVA/BR]

There is BULLSHIT -- That is THE TRUTH --

There's no gentler ... way to say BULLSHIT than

to just say BULLSHIT.

[EVA/BR]

I'll see if I'm able, to weave some verse fable.

I'll try, guy.

Discover the fate of democracy ... Wait ...

Where did he go?

End of ... the show.
